Vaccine Eligibility and Registration Updates

Syracuse Area Health continues to work with the Southeast District Health Department (SEDHD) to coordinate vaccination efforts. Starting March 29th, the SEDHD entered Phase 2B, allowing everyone ages 18 and older to be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Starting April 1, everyone wanting to be vaccinated must register online at vaccinate.ne.gov to be invited to schedule an appointment. We will no longer accept call-in registration for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Here is how to register online:

  • Go to vaccinate.ne.gov
  • Fill out a short questionnaire.
  • You will receive an email confirming your registration if you provide an email address.
  • When you are selected in the phase you are eligible for, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your vaccination. If you don’t have an email address but enter a phone number, you will be contacted by either text or phone call.

Invitations will be sent based on eligibility requirements as determined by the State of Nebraska, which Syracuse Area Health will have no control over. Those individuals who had their first vaccine shot at Syracuse Area Health in the last 28 days will still have their second shot here as previously scheduled. However, all first dose vaccinations must be scheduled online, as well as the subsequent second dose.

Syracuse Area Health may keep a small on call list for extra vaccinations, but to be added to this list, you must still register online at vaccinate.ne.gov.
