Syracuse, Neb. (March 19, 2024) – Syracuse Area Health is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Brett Copley as a Family Practitioner at its North Campus Clinic in Weeping Water, Neb. With a commitment to excellent patient care and deep Nebraska roots, Dr. Copley brings with him a passion for community well-being.
“I’m so excited to be joining this team and taking this next step in my journey as a family practitioner,” shared Dr. Copley. “This opportunity to serve the community where I grew up is incredibly rewarding, and I cannot wait to contribute to the health and happiness of the people here.”
A native of Syracuse, Neb., Dr. Copley’s journey in medicine has led him back to his hometown region. Raised just down the street from the old Syracuse hospital, his return signifies a heartfelt connection to the area and a desire to contribute to community health.

Dr. Copley’s expertise spans general family medicine, diabetes management, preventive healthcare, Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and more. His approach to family medicine emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships with community members and caring for every generation of a family.
Dr. Copley is board-certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Copley attended medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed residency in Lincoln, Neb. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Bioethics and bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology.
