Technology for Breast MRI
Breast MRIs are especially sensitive and can detect nearly all invasive cancers and many in-situ (non-invasive) cancers. SAH also specializes in the evaluation of implants, adhering to FDA recommendations for routine assessment every two to three years.
SAH is here to support those newly diagnosed with breast cancer, offering problem-solving breast MRIs following a mammogram, ultrasound, or biopsy – or when symptoms persist with negative mammography or ultrasound results. SAH is also a trusted partner for pre-operative planning and staging of breast cancer, as well as in evaluating responses after neo-adjuvant chemotherapy.
Next Steps
To ensure the best results, a screening breast MRI will strategically be scheduled seven to 14 days after the first day of a woman’s menstrual cycle. Diagnostic MRI exams will not need to be scheduled around a cycle.
The ordering process for breast MRI goes through utilization review for insurance prior authorization, upon an order from your healthcare provider. Once approved, SAH’s dedicated MRI technologists will promptly reach out to schedule the appointment.
