For the fourth consecutive year, Syracuse Area Health announced it is the recipient of the 2025 Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Presented during the Nebraska Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics Conference on Quality, this annual award recognizes Top 10 overall performance in quality among Nebraska’s Critical Access Hospitals.
“Receiving this recognition for the fourth consecutive year is a meaningful affirmation of our team’s commitment to quality and patient-centered care,” said Lisa Voorhees, CEO of Syracuse Area Health. “Our providers and staff show up every day focused on delivering exceptional care to our community, and this award reflects the pride we take in serving rural Nebraska with excellence.”
The Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award uses the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX© framework to analyze Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project measures for Critical Access Hospitals in Nebraska. The analysis percentile-ranks performance for each facility across 25 metrics, and those facilities with the 10 highest scores are recognized with the Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award.
