Syracuse, Neb. (May 14, 2024) – Syracuse Area Health in Syracuse, Neb., was named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital (CAH) for Patient Satisfaction in the U.S. for the third year in a row.
This award was recently announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA). SAH and the other Top 20 CAHs were scored as the best in the Patient Satisfaction category among all CAHs in the country, as determined by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, part of The Chartis Group.
“All of us at SAH are thrilled to once again be recognized among the nation’s top performers in patient satisfaction. This Top 20 recognition is such an honor,” shared SAH’s CEO Michael Harvey. “It’s a testament to the dedication and diligence of the entire SAH staff, as well as the immense support we receive from our patients and surrounding community.”
An awards ceremony will be held in Kansas City, MO this September to honor all award recipients, including SAH, during NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference.
All Top 20 CAHs have achieved success in overall performance based on a composite rating from eight indices of performance, as outlined by The Chartis Group: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charges and finance.
SAH achieved a best practice designation in the Patient Perspective key area of performance, a rating based on the percentile rank across all 10 HCAHPS domains.
