Mike Livergood is in his first year at Syracuse Area Health after completing 33 years as the Bellevue University Head Athletic Trainer. The Kansas native earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree at Fort Hays State University in 1988 and 1990, respectively. Mike was awarded the NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2008, and in 2016, Livergood was awarded the NATA/NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year. He served for 9 years on the NAIA-ATA board, including 3 years as President. He has enjoyed his involvement as an associate athletic trainer with the Justin Sport Medicine Program since 1994. He has volunteered with the Scouting America program as a Scoutmaster and is currently the Committee chair for a Troop in Bellevue. He lives in Bellevue with his wife, Sara, and has 2 sons, Jake and Matt.
